International Cooperative (International Students) Office is the official administrative department of NCIST on implementing the NCIST international policies and on coordinating its international communication and cooperation.
International Cooperative (International Students) Office offers support to international activities of NCIST; specializes in foreign experts\' employment and international students\' admission; organizes cooperative education abroad programs; manages international Chinese Language education; applies the visas of NCIST faculty and staff on business visits.

Applicants can contact the International Students Office to get an application form or download it from website http://gjc.ncist.edu.cn/newsShow.asp?dataID=140 . Please send the completed application form to the office together with a copy of your passport (photo page), certificate(s) and physical examination records. Alternatively, you may visit our office in person with all required documents. Notes: 1. Students must register with the local public security departments for temporary stay within 24 hours of his/her entry. Otherwise, he/she will be unable to go through the visa formalities and will be fined according to relevant Chinese law. 2. Transfer students need to provide transfer certificate. 3. Frequent Asked Questions Q 1: How do I get to the university? A: We provide students pick-up service upon your arrival; or you can take the subway line 1 and get off at Dawang Road Station, please take bus 812 or 811 to Hua Bei Ke Ji Xue Yuan station. Q 2: How to pay? A: It is only payable in RMB. Students pay in cash to the Accounting Department upon arrival. Q 3: How can I open my personal bank account? A: You may have it done with your passport in any bank near campus. There are many banks around campus, such as Construction Bank of China, Bank of China, etc. Q 4: Whom sh ould I turn for help if I am in trouble off campus? A: Please dial the emergency number 110 while call International Students Office . Q 5: How much money should I take? A: Students need to take sufficient money for your tuition and accommodation fees. Food and living necessaries costs RMB 1,000 -- 2,500, which depends on individual lifestyle. It is pretty convenient to exchange it in Bank of China before you enter China or exchange it after arrival. If you take travelers checks, you need to exchange it in Bank of China. Q 6: What kind of clothing should I take? A: It is typical humid continental climate, presenting distinctive four seasons--a hot and rainy summer, a cold and dry winter, but very pleasant spring and autumn. Min -5 ℃ in winter and max 30 ℃ in summer. Q 7: What language do they use in the class of Chinese Language? A: Chinese language is used even in the class. Q 8: Are there any places for meals around campus? A: Students can either go to have meal in the student dinning halls or out of campus. Deliver meal service is also provided at restaurants nearby.
